چکیده

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR) is an effective alternative method for oil recovery in reservoirs using microorganisms or their secondary metabolites. This research aimed to evaluate the indigenous bacteria from Mae Soon reservoir by culture-dependent and culture-independent methods investigate potential of biosurfactant-producing a drop-collapsed assay. Indigenous were isolated sands reserved core fi ve different media (nutrient, Luria-Bertani, mineral salt, tryptic soy, peptone yeast extract). Fifty-four facultative anaerobic bacterial isolates obtained. Seven showed as biosurfactant producers drop-collapse Based on 16S rRNA gene analysis, six belonged species Bacillus licheniformis one B. subtilis. The microbial community determined Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE). Interestingly, DGGE bands corresponding belonging genus Geobacillus sp. detected. Overall, results obtained this work that well prospective use MEOR.

Isolation of Biosurfactant Producing Bacteria from Oil Reservoirs

Biosurfactants or surface-active compounds are produced by microoaganisms. These molecules reduce surface tension both aqueous solutions and hydrocarbon mixtures. In this study, isolation and identification of biosurfactant producing bacteria were assessed. The potential application of these bacteria in petroleum industry was investigated. Samples (crude oil) were collected from oil wells and 4...
